Breakfast

Many Cafes in Jordan offer the Croissants for typical Jordan Break fast. It is a quick meal consisting dairy products and bread with tea and jam sometimes. In breakfast most used is cream and labneh (made of cow milk or domestic buffalo milk) it is served with dried mint, with olives and drizzled with the olive oil. Some pastries such as sfiah, manqeesh, kahi and fatayer are eaten sometimes for the breakfast. Flat bread with the za'tar Olive Oil is famous as well.

 

Lunch

Lunch is considered a main meal in Jordan; traditionally it is taken after noon prayer. It is meat that gets together the family members, entertaining, and is the meal of choice for invited guests. Lunch has different courses such as maza and salad is served as the side dishes to main meal. Usually it consist, portion of meat, fish or poultry, portion of rice, bread of burgle, lintel and portion of well-cooked vegetables. Meat and vegetable are cooked usually tom make sauce that is served on the rice, many households add bread and other grains that are available.

 

Dinner

Dinner is lightest and traditionally meal, in modern times although dinner became an important due to changing in lifestyle. Drinks are served with food and are necessary; there is wide variety of drinks as Shineena, Irq soos, Al zabib, Tamr Hindi and fresh fruit juices. Coca-coal and other drinks also became famous during 20 th century.

 

Ramadan meals

During the month of Ramadan along with dishes sweets are consumed very much usual. Fresh fruits and sweets are served between meals. Most of sweets although are made all the year such as knafeh, basboosa and baklawa, some are made as special Ramadan dishes such as Qataeif. Futurr is meal when the fast is over in Ramadan, this meal consist three courses while number of dated are Islamic based.
